Hello. My name is Padmé Amidala, though many of you may already know me.

[ She doesn't hesitate or show any signs of the nerves she's feeling, the worry she has over what this may do to the others here. They have a right to know. ]

I understand that this isn't my first time here, but I have no memory of these previous experiences, and so I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to all who knew me before. I am truly sorry for the pain this may cause you, and would very much like to meet all of you again when you are ready.

[ There's a pop of noise and she looks over her shoulder at a cloud of dust blooming from the room behind her. With a slight frown, she turns her attention back to the screen. ]

Also, I don't believe my apartment's cleaning droid likes me very much. If anyone has some advice on this, I'd be very grateful to hear it.

[ Hello, Padmé. Green recognizes your name but only from the histories Hux had given him of his galaxy. He never met the previous iteration. If Padmé has met Hux already, she might be confused as to why someone who looks just like him is appearing with a different accent/network username. ]

I think something's upset them all. Mine's not happy either.

You must be from Kaytoo's galaxy. [ Because you called it a droid. ] Welcome. Or... Welcome back.

[ She hasn't met Hux just yet, so that particular confusion will be saved for another occasion. In the meantime, her frown deepens slightly at the mention of something upsetting the droids. ]

Thank you, I appreciate the welcome. May I ask, who is Kaytoo?

The droid should be easily smashed.

[That's his advice in regard to most droids. But there are more pressing matters... In the time Padme had been here before, he had come to some understanding with her. But if she could no longer remember... That may present some problems. He assumes that she thinks he is again the enemy - not knowing she was from an earlier time.]

Senator Amidala... It is good to see you have returned.

[ Smashed? The idea of destroying a droid for such a simple malfunction or display of displeasure is absolutely abhorrent to her, but it seems best to not respond in such a way. Better to let the conversation move away from the topic on which they so strongly disagree, especially during a first meeting. ]

Thank you, though I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage — I don't know your name.

[ He'd gotten his hopes so high, seeing her face, but they were dashed quickly. He took a minute to compose himself, and when he turned on the video he was wearing a charming smile. ]

Good to see you, Senator. Looks like the Porter brought you back while she kicked me home for a day, but hopefully you won't mind the belated welcome.

Not, uh, that you'd recognize me. But we have a few things in common.

I don't mind at all, I'm glad to see you returned safely. Though as you said, I don't recognize you, for which I do apologize.

[ And she'll continue apologizing to everyone she meets, especially those who do show their disappointment in her lack of memory. It's a struggle, but one for which a decade of political experience has prepared her. ]

You mentioned we have things in common?

[The greeting is stiff but polite, his lips set in a thin line.]

My name is Hux. I know your grandson and Anakin Skywalker.

[ His demeanor reminds her of a myriad of politicians she's dealt with over the years — formal, polite, and without any sort of actual warmth. Perhaps it's simply his usual manner, though there is also the possibility of there having been difficulties in their relationship here in the past.

Whatever the reason, his association with her family immediately earns him her interest and attention. ]

I'm glad to meet you, Mr. Hux. Is that how I should address you? [ A cautious question, testing the waters of how to proceed. ]

How can you know you've been here before but not remember?

[The teenage boy on screen looks a little lost and his nose is heavily bandaged up.]

I've met people who knew me when I was here before. I've been told that it happens sometimes; people go through the Porter and memories are lost.

[ She tries to be gentle as she explains it, knowing that it's probably as confusing for him as it is for her and perhaps even a little scary. ]

I recently returned myself but I remember everything.

[The alien bounty hunter gives her a penetrating look. They've had their issues but he's not here to stir up trouble. He finds it intriguing that they seem to be in a similar situation of having been brought back here for a second time. She may not recognise him personally, but likely knows he is from the Duros species.]

Were you away long?

[ No, she doesn't recognize him, but the look he gives her is telling. They know each other, and whatever history they have is unlikely very pleasant. Despite that, she keeps her tone conversational and polite. ]

Oh, uh. Hello Senator. Welcome back. [ though it's a shame she doesn't remember - he'd always liked her. ]

As for the roomba, they're all kind of -- well, in the middle of a revolt, so you'll find it's not just you.

[ The welcome earns him a smile, though her expression shifts into somewhat shocked surprise at what follows. ]

A revolt? Goodness. For what reasons are they taking such action?

Yeah, I think the cleaning droids have staged a rebellion. Kinda clever, actually. I'm impressed. I didn't even realize they'd attained sentience.

[senateur]

[ A rebellion? What sort of conditions could they be under here to cause such an action? ]

The one here is certainly expressing itself a great deal at the moment. [ The statement is punctuated by a loud banging noise from behind her. ]

[He is beaming and not hiding his joy in the least.]

Need some help? [He has a way with droids - as she well knows.] I can help you get comfortable.

[Is that a come on? How dare he.]

[ When he looks like that, she can't help but smile in return. Especially when he throws in one of those lines of his that are a unique combination of ridiculous and charming. ]

I'm sure you can. [ And look at her, throwing the line back with amusement... That quickly tempers as a low, whirring *hiss* begins behind her. ] Help would be nice. I think it's getting more upset by the minute.

[Jacob's somewhere between smiling and frowning as he replies- like many others, he's glad to see Padme again, but it's sad to have her not remember anything.]

Hey, Padme. Good to see you, despite the circumstances. You did a lot of good the last time you were here, even if you don't remember it.

My name's Jacob Taylor. We worked together on a couple things.

[ It can't be any easier for any of them to be faced with someone they know who doesn't know them than it is for her on the other end of things. Really, she's certain it's more difficult, and so she tries to offer an apologetic smile and struggle past the weight of yet another acquaintance she can't recall. ]

I'm glad to meet you again. Should I call you Jacob, or Mr. Taylor...?

[ Ambassador? She'll have to ask Anakin about that later. The pleasantries are even skipped over for her concern at the offered suggestion. ]

Remove its power source? Are such extreme measures truly necessary?

[ Her network ID isn't hidden, her full name shows. Organa. Leia had no idea that Padme would return so shortly after being swept away by the Porter with Anakin. She'd been given a second chance, only this time she appears younger, has no memories of this place. She looks less worn and less weary. ]

Leaving and then returning without any recollection, that's not your fault. With that said-- welcome back.

[ That name. The resemblance. Padmé visibly struggles for a few moments to compose herself, a storm of emotion threatening to overwhelm her. She'd always wanted a daughter. ]

Thank you. I'm... I'm glad to be here, and to be able to meet all of you.

[ Seeing Padmé back does bring a smile to Kaneki, but sadly he knows also what she means - no recollection of what happened before. It's always difficult being forgotten, but it's also not her fault ]

It must be a bit overwhelming, to be recognized but to recognize others.
