Hello. My name is Padmé Amidala, though many of you may already know me.

[ She doesn't hesitate or show any signs of the nerves she's feeling, the worry she has over what this may do to the others here. They have a right to know. ]

I understand that this isn't my first time here, but I have no memory of these previous experiences, and so I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to all who knew me before. I am truly sorry for the pain this may cause you, and would very much like to meet all of you again when you are ready.

[ There's a pop of noise and she looks over her shoulder at a cloud of dust blooming from the room behind her. With a slight frown, she turns her attention back to the screen. ]

Also, I don't believe my apartment's cleaning droid likes me very much. If anyone has some advice on this, I'd be very grateful to hear it.

I've met people who knew me when I was here before. I've been told that it happens sometimes; people go through the Porter and memories are lost.

[ She tries to be gentle as she explains it, knowing that it's probably as confusing for him as it is for her and perhaps even a little scary. ]

[petergraham]

This is all really strange.

[senateur]

I agree entirely. [ Frowning slightly, she studies his face for a moment, wondering what had caused his injury. ] Have you only recently arrived here as well?

[petergraham]

Yes. I got here a couple of days ago.

[senateur]

Is this place very different from the world you left behind?

[petergraham]

Sort of? There weren't people running around with super powers but it's still Earth and the USA.

I come from a different state though and... my family isn't here.

[senateur]

I'm so sorry to hear that. You must miss them terribly.

[ There's a world of empathy in her voice, because even if her family is here, they're not familiar to her. She doesn't know them, not really. ]

[petergraham]

[He just nods but looks downward, very troubled.]

I know you don't know me, but... Is there anything I can do for you? To help make some part of this easier or at least more bearable?

[petergraham]

I don't know what you can do but th-thanks for the offer.
