Loki, you can considering this a love letter for the information age, following up on when you were asking people here to deal in sharing and caring. United States Military, you're welcome to listen in, but all this information is on file with you already, so you may find it lackluster.

Any helpful technologically capable people out there might help me out and work on encrypting conversations below here for the sake of freedom of discussion.

I don't like talking on these, and I'm not good at it, so pay attention. I've included two attachments to this broadcast, and none of the dramatic bullshit we've seen on national television lately. This is all information I've been given by Lieutenant Ananke. Any questions in specific to those contents within should be directed to her, through her contact line programmed onto your device. Or stop by in person. I don't care.

The first is a list of imPorts and native heroes who went missing following events in 2008. Some are reported dead, others only as missing. These names should be familiar to anyone who attended the swearing in last month, where we were witnessing the opening of the memorial graveyard. Not all of these names are there. Not all families wanted a memorial. Not everyone thinks these people are truly gone, or truly dead.

The second is a series of video recordings of a handful of these people. I'm hoping that you can help me identify everyone in attendance - some recordings are labeled with names. They match up to descriptions on file. It also means we have a few more faces to put with names. I've guessed that the young blond man we see in the last two videos is Liam Lawson, a younger native hero. I believe the woman he isn't with, the one sitting down, may be Eleni Wang, who hasn't been heard from since going underground in 2008. I'm not positive, so here's the floor, open for discussion.

Further, myself and several others have been pursuing investigations into the Hornets, localized to the city of Nonah. It's not all swift moving, but I hope that each person will be sharing information on what they learn as they learn anything. I'm presently investigating one of the former students at Phillip North's gym, but if that provides information, I won't know for a while yet. Liam Lawson is also being investigated by another of those who expressed interest, and I'd recommend he share that information, even if it's a dead end, with the imPorts when he has a chance.

I don't care how much or little you trust the government. I don't care how often you want to piss into the wind. There's too much shit going on for me to care about bickering over those details, between Russia sitting on ships staring down Alaska up North, to puzzles pointing toward concerns further South and outside this nation, to the fact that Lunatic, one of our own, has been murdering people, and tried to incinerate a seventeen year old civilian earlier today for having been involved in a drunk driving incident that ended another's life.

Cut to the chase. What else is happening that we should know about? Enlighten me.

Various ones in the city of Nonah, North Carolina. I commute down to Heropa every day, then take a shuttle up from the Cape.

Other than use the Porter? Shoot at the range every so often, borrow space to train and spar with another imPort. Keeping current with the common weaponry to this world has been a habit now and again, but I'm too busy between work, school, tutoring under Tony Stark, practicing with my vertical maneuver gear, dog walking, and my own investigations to spend all that much time at any of the military bases or outposts.

Why?

[ sure sounds entirely nonchalant talking about using the military shooting range. which exists. for some reason. ]

Because that's a lot for a student in one of my PE classes to do after school.

[ a beat. ] Is vertical maneuver gear anything like 3D maneuver gear?

It's the same thing, only a different way of calling it. As for the other... I've only been a student again since coming here.

[raincheck]

You were in the military in your world?

[ he's talked to three people so far with 3d maneuver gear. all three of them female and all three young.

and at least one of them military. it seems a fair assumption to make. ]

Yes. I enlisted when I was thirteen. Training took three years. I had graduated to the Military Police branch back home. Who else have you spoken to from my world, if you don't mind me asking?

[raincheck]

One of my roommates, Sasha. And someone else, but I didn't catch their name.

[lyingheart]

Sasha is from the 104th Trainee class, the same as I am. There's a handful of us present... Reiner Braun, Jean Kirschtein, and Armin Arlert for people who graduated together. Three superior officers in the Scouting Legion are also present, Commander Erwin Smith and Commander Hange Zoe, then Captain Levi. More recently, there's been an arrival from a more historical point than the rest of us... her name is Isabel, I believe.

You've likely spoken to one of those individuals.

It might have been Hange Zoe. She promised me a demonstration.

[ that's a lot of people from her world. he's almost a little envious; there's a lot of people here who know him, but no one that he really knows. ]

[lyingheart]

[ they can trade, he can have a majority share of people who mostly hate or cannot stand him (for good reason) at his back, really... she'll share. ]

It's an interesting system, if archaic according to some here. Are you interested in things like that?

[raincheck]

[ ... no thanks. ]

Mostly I couldn't imagine what it would look like, so I asked.

Acrobatic. Unless you mean the belt system. People find our belts similar to climbing gear, or sky diving gear. The harnesses.

[ she says, offhand. ]

I think all of us have been investigating ways to improve on the gear we know, updating it with the technologies available in this time. Depending on who you ask, it's either a slow or quick process. Anyway... let me know if she ever gets around to the demonstrating. I keep up with my own training, but I'm never sure how it's going with the Heropa group.

[raincheck]

[ all that is filed away, but what he says is: ] You don't talk to them?

No more than is necessary. I live with Reiner - we're both in Nonah - but I don't have much contact with the rest.

[raincheck]

Did you know them in your world?

[ he's only asking because, well, if sam or natasha or even fury were here, or any one of the avengers, the ones he actually knows, he'd want to spend time with them. ]

[lyingheart]

I knew them. Circumstances meant we parted ways... but we were never close.

[ and the familiarity she might have sought has been well undermined from the start. outsiders are safer. they will never understand, and they are safer, and lonelier. ]

[raincheck]

[ he works hard to keep any wistful notes out of his voice. ] It's good you have someone from your world you're closer with. [ he means reiner, and he's assuming she's at least friends with him if they live together. ]

[lyingheart]

Getting closer to.

[ It's a very mild correction, because Annie agrees - it is good to have in a scary way. For all the headaches and worries that come attached, it's nice having someone who can understand. More than any of the rest, Reiner can. He's the most gregarious... it was most difficult for him to be what they are. ]

No one like that here for you so far, I take it. That may change. Would you like it to?

[ he lets himself think about his answer for a moment. in the end, with a smile that is honest even if it's crumbling at the edges (good thing she can't see): ]

Selfishness is a trait of humanity... not an inherently bad one. Just common. [ A pause. ] Are you homesick?

[raincheck]

Not really.

[ he's homesick for a time that's long passed; he's homesick for bucky and for peggy.

( if it's true that you're not supposed to make homes of people, it's a lesson no one ever taught steve, at least not successfully. ) ]

At least not for the world I'm from as such.
