[02] Video; Backdated to Friday May 1st

[ Hey, everyone. It's Walt. You may remember this guy from such videos as drunk posting in his underwear. But in case you don't (and hopefully you don't), Walt is fully clothed this time. He still looks every bit as weary as his video debut, but at least he isn't drunk. That's a plus. ]

I apologize in advance for any inconvenience. It seems as though the Heropa pharmacy was caught up in whatever chaos erupted in the city and suffered some damages. We will be closed until further notice, but I will be doing my best to ensure prescriptions still get out to everyone who used my pharmacy to have them filled. We have a sister pharmacy that has temporarily taken on accounts here in Heropa. Though if it's more convenient for imPorts, I can have things forwarded to the other imPort cities.

Repairs have already begun, so I don't anticipate us being closed for over a couple weeks. If anyone wants to offer their assistance in helping rebuild the damaged sections, it would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, I hope everyone has been well and continues to be well now that the worst of this is all behind us.

But your pharmacy could always do with extras, right? I mean, you want your place to be the go to pharmacy for all medicated needs, don't you?

[ No. Jeff doesn't. Walt could get business at his pharmacy just fine because it's a PHARMACY and people need prescriptions. But. It probably is a waste of time to argue because Jeff and his camera crew will likely show up regardless. ]

Fine, if you don't think they will get in the way of construction, we will be gathering at 11am tomorrow.

However long it takes. So yes, probably. I'm at least providing breakfast for everyone. The power combination of coffee and donuts. The earlier you come, the better...otherwise you'll find yourself stuck with only jelly donuts leftover.

I guess I could treat myself to just one donut, right? I'll be sure to get there early, especially for the coffee.

While I appreciate the 'young' thing, I'm still gonna stick with the one. I work way too hard to balance my cholesterol, calories, blood sugar, carbs, protein, fat and every thing else to start stuffing down donuts when the mood strikes.

I have the self-control to not eat them. You should try it some time.

What are you implying? I'll have you know I dropped at least thirty pounds in the last month I was at home.

Point being, what's the point in depriving yourself? I assure you if you pick up a hammer and do some work tomorrow -- not only will you look great on camera, but you'll burn enough calories where it won't matter if you have a second or third donut.

Sure, but I'd fuel myself a whole of a lot better with some protein or slow burning carbs. You don't just put any shitty oil in a super car just because it'll burn it up anyway, you look after the engine and give it the best.

[Ie. Jeff is a super car, Walt is some old Daewoo or something.]

Well, I mean, you can either pay more money for that good oil or you can save that money and enjoy life a little more.

Do you think the actions you make in this world are going to hold any consequence on your life back home?

I imagine not, no. From my understanding, life goes on there all the same -- no memories, no physical changes -- what we do here doesn't even matter in the long run. It's pointless.

That would be some pretty impressive self-destruction you'd be doing to gain that much weight. But yes. That's exactly what I'm saying.

And yet I'm still not going to eat that extra donut? Know why? Because I have self-control.

Why does it matter if nothing we do here is going to be transferred back to our world? By that logic, isn't life just pointless? All we're doing is making changes in a world that we won't really be spending more than a century on, tops.
