[02] Video; Backdated to Friday May 1st

[ Hey, everyone. It's Walt. You may remember this guy from such videos as drunk posting in his underwear. But in case you don't (and hopefully you don't), Walt is fully clothed this time. He still looks every bit as weary as his video debut, but at least he isn't drunk. That's a plus. ]

I apologize in advance for any inconvenience. It seems as though the Heropa pharmacy was caught up in whatever chaos erupted in the city and suffered some damages. We will be closed until further notice, but I will be doing my best to ensure prescriptions still get out to everyone who used my pharmacy to have them filled. We have a sister pharmacy that has temporarily taken on accounts here in Heropa. Though if it's more convenient for imPorts, I can have things forwarded to the other imPort cities.

Repairs have already begun, so I don't anticipate us being closed for over a couple weeks. If anyone wants to offer their assistance in helping rebuild the damaged sections, it would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, I hope everyone has been well and continues to be well now that the worst of this is all behind us.

Well, you're a better man than me. I don't think I would be able to live with anyone I knew from home excluding my wife. I can't even fathom moving in with my brother-in-law who happens to be here.

[ Ray just sort of shrugs blase like.... until he twitches partway through because so many uncomfortable topics in such a short span of time. ]

Be shocked if someone could still make a marriage stick around these parts. Nuthin against you and yours. But i'm pretty sure family's in some whole other kinda clause. If my parents showed up I sure as hell wouldn't move in with em.

True. Case by case scenario when it comes to family, I suppose.

[ Goddamn. Walt misses his family. So it's time for a topic change. ]

So what is your world like? Do you come from one similar to this one or something with a bit less magic and superheroes?

[ Yeaaaah topic change is probably a good thing. Because too long on this subject and Ray's bound to bring up his ex-wife and it'd be an awkward-party for everyone involved. ]

My world? Is a little less magic carpet rides and a little more, normal every day in the neighborhood. No magic, no capes, no flying... anything. I mean, okay yeah apparently i'm an old fart from back in the 90's but i'm okay with that. That's all okay.

So our cellphones are a little smaller. And the computers still suck as much, except they're even tinier here which in no way makes them easier to use.

How about that touch screen? I will never get used to touch screen. Maybe my fingers are too big, but I always wind up hitting the wrong thing.

[ Walt laughs a little, shaking his head. ]

But wow. The 90's, huh? Is 2015 everything you imagined it would be? Complete with flying cars?

[cuff]

[ Speaking his language, bro. ] I am on your side. All the way. Don't think they're any better than what i'm used to and- me and keyboards? Not a love song that was meant to be written, we don't get along any better. And who the hell ever thought texting was a good idea? I mean, what's so wrong with a phone call.

[ Okay thats enough bitching, you can stop now, Ray.... but wait. ]

Yeah sure, except for how I was hoping the cars stayed on the ground. I'm a classics guy, don't need my car drifting off anywhere.

[ Walt chuckles. ]

Yeah, it's a little unnerving for me, too. We don't have this sort of technology back in my world. But, hey. At least they have the classics part. A lot of these vehicles look like they were ripped straight out of the 50's to 60's.

Except for how the ones here manage liftoff. I've got a classic and it's never gotten that far off the ground in its entire life.

Maybe whenever you get home, you'll learn enough about the vehicles here to give it an upgrade?
