Video
[ Cisco sits back from turning the video feed on, his garage/workshop visible in the background, and goes back to fiddling with a project on his workbench while he talks. ]
So, what kind of movies do you guys like? Back home, I mean. I know stuff is weird here and some movies don't exist, and they have stuff some of us don't have back home, so if there's any good universe-local movies I'm missing out on that only exist here, I could use some recs, too. Bonus points if there's any really good alternate universe versions of stuff I'd know from home. Negative points if it's propaganda crap, because there's enough of that on TV as it is.
[ He props up the thing he's working on to get at the bottom of it, and it looks like a projector. Wonder what that could be for! ]

Sure. Gogo suggested Operation Implausible, which sounds like the best name for the worst alternate universe version of Mission Impossible I can think of. Maybe not as good as our usual classics, but I'm down if you are?
Also, did you really just send me a voice message when I'm just out in the garage? Come on, I know you're home, I heard your car pull in.
[ He grins a little, hoping some endearing teasing will take the awkward out of the hesitance in his response. ]

...But, uh, I wouldn't say no to the company?

I can be down in a couple minutes. Could use a break from my work anyway.

[He'll cut off the feed there and, as said, he'll come downstairs to the garage after two-three minutes. Once there he knocks on the house-entrance door to catch Cisco's attention.]

It's open! I mean, it doesn't actually lock from this side, so...

Is that projector for what I think it's for?

[There is a very underlying prickle in his skin that he masks in his voice and expression and it clearly comes at the thought of Cisco's endeavor being a success. He suspects it has less to do with not wanting it to succeed and more to do of what could happen if it does succeed.]

[ Still a little bitter about everything surrounding the escape? Maybe. ]
I think I'm gonna keep it to invite only, and try to keep it small at first. See how it goes over. But definitely keep it out in the backyard. Having people crammed into the living room doesn't seem like fun for anyone.
[ There's a hidden "I know you like your space, I'll try to keep people out of it" in there. ]

Backyard would be nicer this time of year. Air conditioning can only do so much when you cram over a couple dozen people in here, in the middle of August at that.
[Yes he does get the implication and he appreciates it. He doesn't even like living with other people, so the thought of dozens of them in one small house (well small compared to the glass mansion he situated himself in before) is cringing.]
You'll need a screen though. A large-scaled one like that could cost a lot of money, unless you make it yourself.

Yeah, no kidding. At least it gets a little cooler out once the sun goes down, so hopefully it'll be nice.
[ He grins a little. ] I was just gonna hang a sheet
