I guess it's that time again, huh?

[Despite being dressed in a stark white shirt, matte black tie, and lacking his usual over-the-top effects, Josuke's face is lit up like the sun. He waves at the camera, giving the people he's speaking to his undivided attention. Behind him, people dressed similarly amble in the direction of Heropa's police academy, most seeming to pay him no mind, but a couple of the younger adults stopping to wave at the recording camera as some people can't help but do.]

There's a lot of new imPorts showing up. Think I even saw some heading to the houses near mine. Reminds me of when I got here two years ago...it's kinda hard to believe I'm going on the third year already.

[He scratches at the back of his head and then shrugs.]

Can't say it's been bad, though! I've met a lot of great people and had a lot of fun. But things can get sort of wild around here, you know? Which is what I really wanted to talk about. As amazing as this place can be...there's a lot of shit to watch out for and people to be wary of.

[Not naming any names, of course. Not yet.]

But don't worry. It really does get easier, and you're not alone.

[With a toothy grin, Josuke gives the camera a thumbs up.]

Anyway...I'm probably in for a long day here, but I'm thinking of catching a movie later. Any of you wanna come along, maybe make some friends and get to know the ropes a little, you're more than welcome!

January 6th, 2017. Epiphany. It has been one year since I was ported in. Happy anniversary.

[ Julian's voice is cool and calm, matter of fact and without emotion. ]

It has been quite a year, hasn't it. Soviet kidnapping. Occupation. Brainwashing. ImPorts being replaced by a version of themselves from an alternate timeline. Or from another point in time. Murders, monsters, memories, mayhem. [ He skims over the rest to get to the important part: ]

I was busy the past year. [ Now he sounds a little bit proud of himself. ] Leprechauns on St. Patrick's. Playing a prank on the capital on April Fool's. Stealing the Declaration of Independence on the Fourth of July. Improving Disney World's Halloween.

In December I decided to give back to the community. Christmas. Hanukkah. Yule. Kwanzaa. So many holidays based on giving. So for many of you, I gave on your behalf. I'm sure the people of this world enjoyed the donations selected from your own homes.

[Which basically means he just admitted to a few thefts. At least your stuff is in better hands now? ]

Now it is a new year. I hope many of you will follow your New Year's Resolutions. Don't give up on them early.

And it appears it's the season for new imPorts again. Welcome, newcomers. I hope this post gives you something to look forward to in the coming year.

[The communicator is either being carried by someone else, or simply floating after the man. Well dressed in his 1920s best, he is currently perusing the ‘occult’ section of a local public library. There’s a moment of silence as he traces the spine of one book, then simply begins speaking.]

How many tomes are able to be written on a subject this world clearly knows nothing about?

[He idly picks one book off the shelf- Idiot’s Guide To Protection Spells- and smirks as he flips through.]

I was something of a magical scholar- amateur, really- in my younger days. Making the utter absence of new forms to learn about here an understandable disappointment.

[The book is snapped shut, and he finally looks up to smile into the camera.]

If there are any actual witches or wizards listening, I would appreciate a moment of your time. Or, barring that, anyone that has seen magic in their lives. I’ll settle for whatever information this world can manage to scrape together.

[Video/Action] SKATER BOYS Part 1 (@ Heropa #017)

[ The video opens on two young men sitting side by side on a couch, set up to address the camera together. One is younger, Japanese, with dark hair and glasses; he is way, way less enthused about this than the platinum blond Russian dude waving enthusiastically at the video feed. ]

Um … well … I’m … Katsuki Yuuri. [ He trails off, mumbling more about himself, but it doesn’t quite make it to the microphone. He seems wildly uncomfortable to be doing this. The last phrase sounds something like “nice to meet you” but it’s hard to tell. ]

[ The Russian chooses that moment to sling an arm around the shoulders of his embarrassed companion and lean on him a bit, his heart-shaped smile and handsome face gorgeous enough to be in a fashion magazine. He looks into the camera with no hesitation at all. ]

Hiii! [ he proclaims brightly, his Russian accent becoming more evident as he talks. ] I’m Viktor Nikiforov, and I’m Yuuri’s figure skating coach! We just finished our biggest competition of the year, the Grand Prix Final, and we just wanted to reach out to our fans to thank them all for their support!

[ Yuuri chokes at that, his next comment coming out as a squawk. ]

-- Eh!? VIktor, this is a different dimension! We don’t have fans here!

But we can get NEW fans! [ Viktor winks at the camera before he turns his head to look at Yuuri mischievously. ]

Wh - Viktor, no! We don’t know anyone! Not in public--!

[ And then the feed goes down as Yuuri manages to knock it over before Viktor throws himself at him. ]

[It's just after dawn on Friday morning, and the video feed clicks on to a young man in torn, bloody clothing, crouched down over an injured baby deer. From where the communicator rests in the grass, early morning De Chima traffic is visible behind him.]

Look, you have to go back in the- No, no, not that way-

[He's trying to urge the deer back towards the woods, but it just wants to come with him. Though its injuries seem extensive, it isn't in any apparent pain, frolicking around his legs in the high grass.]

I can't take you home, kiddo. I don't even have a home, yet. Just- Stop that!

[If it weren't all for the blood, this would be one of the cutest things to ever happen.]
