[ 01 ] Video; Possible Action for housemates?

[ The video starts rolling well before Walter's prepared to sit down and talk. What the viewer gets is about twenty minutes of a frail and sickly thin, older white man in his tighty whities, staring blankly into the screen. A bottle of wine is in one hand, continuously pouring the contents into a glass as he drinks them down only to refill it again. It's the alcoholic channel, with a few fascinatingly thoughtful jaw clenches and an unwavering staring competition with the lens. Finally, he clears his throat and speaks up. ]

So this is supposed to connect me to others 'like me?' These so-called imPorts...

[ He studies his empty glass, turning it in his hands. ]

There's one question that never got answered, and maybe you can give me some insight? Clue me in a little because I sure saw a lot of fire and brimstone a few days ago...

[ He looks up, dead eyes focusing on the screen. ]

Is this supposed to be hell?

Hell woulda be a lot more permanent. Permanent fire, permanent screaming, and pretty sure there would be no old dudes getting piss drunk in his underwear.

[ Oh god. This is it. This is Jesse 2.0 -- the younger, obnoxious version. Walt can feel his patience running thin already. ]

Shut up. [ He snaps at the underwear thing and then takes another gulp of his wine now that Ryoki reminded him he had it. ]

You're looking at the superficial aspects of hell. The image that's painted in various stories. Hell can be far more psychological than that.

[ he is a junkie, too ]

[ but Ryoki laughs when Walter snaps ]

Oh~ gettin' deep. Y'know, it's what they say, livin's hell and all that. But still ain't bad enough when you got your booze.

[ Walt's entirely sarcastic. He knows this kid's far from worried. ]

I should've known it'd be no use. It's always a waste of air with your type. You always think you have it all figured out. Well let me tell you something, you little shit. The only thing you got figured out is a faster way to die.

[ Walt stares at Ryoki -- angry, not necessarily at him and the words he's saying, because he could give two shits less about this strange kid. But it's more because he can easily see how Jesse could have turned out. Flying high on the path to a swift death, never really appreciating life, and ruined to all the normal experiences it had to offer.

But this kid could be useful. Walt cares about Jesse. He doesn't care about Ryoki, so that makes him a prime candidate to test out his 'heroin touch' that he accidentally unleashed on Jesse. And furthermore, it makes him wonder if it's possible for his power to cause physical dependence. ]

Then why don't you tell me, huh? Tell me all the things I got wrong?

[ He throws the empty bottle to the ground, smashing it as he stands. ]

Or better yet, tell it to my face. You have no idea who you're dealing with. But you'll learn.

[ come at me, you psycho cow you. ]

Look at the old fart, getting all puffy. Ain't ya so mighty?

Got no interest in drunk fucks, you ain't no fun when I'm punching the lights outta you.

[ he leans back smirking ] Woulda rather watch ya all over the network like the pitiful shithead ya are, babbling about hell and then tryin' to give junkies life lessons. And getting mad cuz there ain't nobody to take ya seriously.

[ Whether this kid actually believes the shit he's saying with his cocky arrogance or whether he actually made a wise decision -- Walt doesn't know. But a faintly amused smirk curves on the corner of his lips regardless. ]

The stakes are different now. Surely you realize that. Youth doesn't necessarily translate into strength. Drunk or not, it all boils down to who can outsmart who. Our newfound powers have made most everyone stand on equal ground.

But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you realized this, which was why you don't want to face this 'drunk old fart.'

Ryoki rolls his eyes ] Fine. I will send ya to hell just like you want to. Where the fuck are ya?

You're not coming here. There are other people who live in this house. We'll meet some place else. A parking lot or something along those lines. I'll find a spot and let you know.
