Within the next 12 hours, this information and more will be shared with the public. For a group of "heroes," there is quite a lot of blood spilled under your name, isn't there?

Do you know how much damage you've done?

The actual toll you've taken on this world?

Half a billion is taken out of the pocket of the civilians you've "saved" to cover damages, freebies, and those Swear-In ceremonies. Money that could be put towards so many other things; poverty, food shortages, housing for those people who really need it. Like parasites, you take from the host and give nothing back.

And all for what? So that the Government can hope to convince you to be their personal weapons of warfare. After all, you're the only kind of weapon they have that they can simply bring back to life should you die. Those nanites in every single imPort body ensure that.

So Heroes.

Do you think you can really make this world a better place, with all of the baggage you have tying you down? Maybe there is a chance you can do some good… But you need to first remove the threads that hold you to the deception being administered.

[OOC: Aaaand Inumuta is currently infected with the Hornet's Mind Clone of Miguel Rodriguez right now! So he's not exactly himself at the moment. Right now, Inumuta's doing the whole anonymous schtick, but if any hackers/people capable of tracking him down do any digging whatsoever, they'll find him. He's intentionally not covering his tracks as well as he could have because as a Hornet, he isn't shying away from any jabs he can get at Imports.

So, action is possible, but please try to coordinate with other players in this! Feel free to threadjack, whatever!

Guilt towards what, exactly? That they have fallen victim to tragedy? That they have seen things that they were unable to prevent? Why should that make them guilty of anything unless they were at the same time responsible for that tragedy?

I have many, many problems with this data. You may have been able to tell.

Because they become damaged and unable to perform to 'proper standards' in some way, and therefore they are a liability that should not be accommodated.

Some people will find anything to blame, no matter how far they have to reach.

This data is flawed regardless. Simple fact without context or explanation is an easy tool to manipulate. I also find many faults within this.

I wish this were as easy as focusing on the objective flaws behind the data presented here. It's... difficult, to say the least, to remain as measured as I'd like when talking with (I assume) the person who posted this in the first place.

Both. Yes, I am concerned about the reputations of the people called out in this post. But I am also concerned about the character of the person who revealed this information, the information they chose to condemn others for, and what it means for us to have this person active on our network. This is someone who presumably knows these people. He or she could be friends with them.

If this had come at any other time, I would agree with you. But there has been an unusually high amount of particularly aggressive import activity beginning on the 24th.

I feel as if there is a connection to be made here. But I don't have enough data to say for sure. You've been here longer - I would like to know your opinion.

I see. I've been otherwise occupied and haven't been noticing much strange activity, but my threshold for strange has heightened significantly since I arrived here.

If something is affecting imPorts specifically, I haven't noticed any adverse affects. I suppose I wouldn't, if whatever it is was designed well enough. I'm not sure how it would have come into existence, though—surely not through the people called out here, since they seem just as angry as everyone else. I am also not sure if this hypothetical unknown vector and the leaking incident here are similar enough to have been perpetrated by the same person.

There is as yet insufficient data for a meaningful answer.

There has been a rash of violent activity. In particular, Cape Canaveral's Porter facility is currently in many, many pieces, and there have been several disruptions in Heropa. There have been other incidents in other cities, but since most live in Heropa, that is where the incidents have been concentrated.

I believe one Ken Kaneki was affected, considering the reactions on this post and considering the network post that was made earlier where someone, ah, dismembered him. Though I cannot be sure. We may have more than one person with his abilities here, after all.

There isn't enough data, I agree. But I find it suspicious that there is a sudden outbreak of violent activity.

I heard about the Porter in passing, but I didn't expect imPorts to be responsible for it. That seems counterproductive, if intentional. It is very suspicious. I suppose we'll have to start with some of the more obvious leads. Do you know if any mechanical life has been affected, or have you only noticed this with biological life?

Considering the reports of, I quote, 'Holy shit, is that a fucking giant in the sea??' I am forced to assume that it was imPort behaviour, unless someone has technology we're not aware of in this world. Not to mention that it apparently came back to target the facility again in the evening.

I don't believe any mechanical imPorts have been affected, no - from what activity I glimpsed, it seems to be confined to biological life.

I assume you're reading my conversation with this person. It's impossible to deny that something strange is going on, but this may be a nonviolent piece of evidence. Zealots don't often have such drastic changes in the way they respond to being questioned.

That may be correct. I sincerely doubt that these sudden outbursts were hand-picked -- it's too erratic for that. But there is a pattern, nevertheless.

Yes, something seems to be clashing. Our mystery submitter is having doubts and struggling, but why is that, I wonder? Besides the fact that he never wanted to hurt the innocent and there are Hornets perfectly capable of hurting the innocent, I suppose.

Do you believe these events are being organized by the Hornets in some way? They did seem fairly intent on sending a message. Perhaps they are starting to speak more loudly. And if our leaker is really seeking to bring this information to the public to demand some sort of grand shift in policy, that does mesh with what I know about the Hornets.

I've begun placing less value on the idea of coincidences in this world.

If there's an outbreak of violence among imPorts and a rise in mistrust among our own community, causing infighting, that would serve their purposes quite well. In addition, destructive violence caused specifically by imports would also fuel anti-imPort sentiment.

This is randomised chaos. There is no news yet as to what has caused it. But if it only affects imPorts and it moves like an illness, it would have to have been done at some point when most if not all of the population were gathered in one place to maximise its effects.

The swearing-in ceremony? Surely they would have been noticed there.

Unless they did something in the chaos after the attacks.

The ceremony, perhaps not. But they lit fires and caused destruction in Heropa? They must have known most imPorts would go there to assist - either out of altruism or because the government called upon them to help. That's another way of gathering many people together - through disaster.

What if the attacks were a smokescreen in order to release something else?

If that's true, I think we have our vector. But why would it only be affecting some of us? Why hasn't everyone been exhibiting these symptoms? The Hornets hardly seem organized or specialized enough to create something that can target some specific aspect of the people who are showing symptoms. But maybe I'm underestimating them.

It might have been the exact opposite. We all have different body types and powers, so there's no way of knowing who exactly will show symptoms. There are too many variables to account for.

The important thing was to gather as many imPorts in the same place as possible. That way, it would ensure the largest amount of infected and the highest chance of success. If it does act as a normal illness would, then even the imPorts who wouldn't show symptoms would still be carriers.

So... is there anything we can do in this situation? This all seems like conjecture (strong conjecture, to be sure) and I don't know if the CDC or another, similar organization 1) exists; 2) would be willing or able to help cure or at least prove it.

It appears that X has put out a call to bring in afflicted imPorts to a medical facility. He's very organised, that one. We'll get confirmation one way or another at this rate - which can only be a good thing.

Good. I hope the lasting trauma isn't too great for those affected to handle. If they are normally nonviolent, being compelled to do these things against their will would likely be devastating. They might find themselves on a hypothetical round two of leaks.
