Well, if they'll still talk to you, that's a good sign. It means they still like you, at least. You'll probably have to bring up whatever it is sooner or later, though. I one time tried to hide that I was the alien who abducted this friend of mine, and he worked it out on his own, and kind of freaked when I confirmed it but...he calmed down once I put my face back on. And he forgave me.
