Have you ever fallen in love? Have you ever been punched very hard in the face, or perhaps attacked by a pack of starving wolves? For those of you who've done both, would you say the experiences were at all comparable?

I've been attacked by wolves, and much, much worse things. I've also been in love before, but I haven't really had a boyfriend in years. When my first boyfriend broke up with me it certainly felt like a punch to the face.

Are you speaking from personal experience, or are these things what you would wish to experience?

Not the wolves, but I did get punched in the face and attacked by demons.

...I wouldn't say that falling in love is the same. It's torture at first - you want them to like you, you're afraid that they won't. Then there is pain...thinking you're not good enough for them when they were just young and being forced by others. Then you make yourself change thinking this is what they want - not realizing they are doing the same. I got really lucky because she loved me back.

I've been in love and been run through, if that counts.

These events weren't really alike at all.

Except I met the boy immediately after getting run through, so...

Also, people don't usually survive being attacked by wolves.

I cannot speak to the pack of starving wolves, but having nearly had my heart ripped out once- well, it is a similar feeling.

I've never been attacked by wolves, but I once got drunk enough to throw up on someone. And I have been punched before.

I'd say love feels a lot worse.

I can't speak to the wolves, but the punch and the fall are about the same level of surprise and "ah, bollocks" rather than the actual pain.
