i've had a lot of people tell me that i should bake professionally, which is very very nice! (thank you if you've told me that)
but i don't really want to open a bakery or anything, so i was thinking of a way to do that sort of thing without having a store
and i was considering maybe doing a delivery service??
do people like getting desserts in the mail???
maybe a monthly box like a loot crate but for sweets
or maybe delivery on demand..
i could use my kitchen in that case (sorry, luke)

should i make a
portfolio of desserts or
a website???

Oh, bloody hell. This isn't what I meant when I was sending some friends to the astral plane to do some work. But I suppose one can't be surprised when it comes to the multiverse.

Anyway, enough of that nonsense -- [worrying about the Shadow King back in her world isn't going to do her any good in this one, now, is it?] -- who wants to fill me in on all the good bar fights I missed, or other interesting events of the past few months? It seems as though I was absent from this world for somewhere in the range of two and a half months, give or take some weeks. Last I remember, it was cold here.

I was wondering--how long do you think you should wait until you decide that someone's really gone?

[In view: Beth, in a tank top, shorts, and a bunched-up scarf, sitting on a porch swing that moves idly to and fro. Good weather, the hints of picturesque countryside, even if the capsule-like building behind her is on the ugly side. Someplace out of view, a dog barks once or twice.]

Like, my boyfriend's been in and out for weeks at a time. And it's happened a lot--this is the third time now. Other people, though...they're gone, and that's it. Or they leave and come back, and the next time, that's it. It all seems so random. Looking for a pattern's gonna drive you crazy.

So when do you stop checking for their name on the network? How do you decide if this time's forever, or if it's just another phase? [A pause, her mouth tugging downward.] It's almost harder than really losing people--at least then, you know they're gone.

So it seems I am not the only young adult import who wishes to become more involved in politics. It's refreshing to see others who are inclined to do more for the greater good of the people.

However, despite that, I fear it may be rather difficult for us to get involved.
