So, this is gonna sound kinda random, but. I've been wondering for a little while...what's New York like here? I just wanna know if it's anything like the New York from my world.

Actually, now that I think about it--how does the New York here compare to New York where you came from? If you've ever been there, I mean. 'Cause now I'm wondering about all the different versions of it we probably know.

I've never been to my world's version of New York! But the one here was pretty nice from what I saw at the party last month.

It's...pretty similar to the New York I'm from, mostly.

[ New York feels!!! ]

The one here feels the same, at least.

New York here is pretty neat! They flew us in for the last Swear-In. My friend won a skateboarding owl.

I spent a couple weeks up in New York after that thing at the Ashen Tree. It's pretty sweet.

Less supervillains, for a start. And less property damage.

Similar restaurants. I recommend McGillen's if you ever have a chance to go! But it's a lot quieter than back home.

[Because, yes, a complete lack of supervillains and people swinging through the air.]

I've yet to visit this one, myself. But the one I did visit had the Statue of Liberty, and a great throng of tourists, and very immense hot dogs.

[ Such things stick out, man. ]

We don't actually have one where I come from. But this one was nice from what I saw, if a little... busy.

I went last month for the swearing in ceremony. It was nice. Close enough to my own Manhattan that it made me a little homesick, even if it was missing certain staples like the Baxter Building or Avengers Mansion.

Considerin' back where I'm from, I'm still from a different uniwerse than Earth is from, so I'we no idea.

But, what? Is this New York so special that all Earths in waryin' uniwerses got to hawe one, or somethin'? Is it some metropolis staple in your human society?
runningstart: (ww; fuck you too)

Well I mean, there's the flying cars and stuff. And the weirdo clothes. That you find anywhere here, that's completely different. Unless you have that stuff back home, then I guess it's the same. Everything's still here, that rockin' pizza shop is still on the corner of 5th and Main...

Still jaywalkers getting super mad at the traffic too, which is hilarious. It's like, crouch! You'll be fine, they won't hit you probably. Maybe ding you on the head.

The city itself is very similar to the New York I'm familiar with, although the same can be true of much of the world. The history and technology isn't the same, but the city itself seems not much different.

I haven't been to this New York yet, but I assume it's less on fire than the one I left.
