[The background of the video is kind of blurry since Ripley is running as she attempts to take this selfie video, but it should be obvious enough that she’s running through a forest. And having the time of her life doing so.]

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Does anyone wanna come camp with me? I’m camping! Right now, in King’s Park. It’s pretty cool! I’ve got… okay, I didn’t bring a tent, but I made a shelter. And look, I made a friend. [She readjust the angle to show that she’s got a wolf running behind her, a pretty big one in fact. The wolf’s not trying to attack her though, he doesn't even look aggressive right now. She really has made friends with him and tamed him(thank you powers).]

He’s really cool and I think I’m gonna call h-- [And then all of the sudden the video goes all over the place as as Ripley trips. Real hard. She comes to a dead stop, but manages to keep the comm in her hand as her face goes into the dirt. Her wolf buddy jumps onto her back and starts licking her face.]

Noooooo—Jackson, ew! You're so gross!

[And the video cuts out to the sound of Ripley giggling like a maniac.]

[Ted has somehow rigged this to play at the beginning of his message, which mostly consists of video of the outside of a brand spanking new Bug. Ted is narrating, of course.]

This here's the Bug. She's solar powered, can be called by remote, break the sound barrier if I get her going fast enough, and lots of other fun things. I'm not gonna give away all my dirty little secrets just like that. [A beat.] But if you're interested, give Kord Enterprises a call. Or hit me up here.

[This next bit is PRIVATE, locked to Clark Kent, Bruce Wayne, Michael Carter, and Karen Starr.]

Sooooo. If we're still considering a League around here, we've got an easy mode of transport now. [A little pause, there] ....Obviously, you can count me in with the Bug, too.

Some of you will have just received notice, as I have, that Unsettled imPorts will now be subjected to new restrictions and requirements. Since I doubt it is in the government's plans to explain the ramifications and implications of what they've just done, I've decided to take it upon myself, so that everyone understands exactly where we stand and what this might mean. So, to start: my name is Matt Murdock. I've been an attorney in both New York and California for nearly fifteen years, primarily a criminal defense attorney, with a fair amount of experience in cases dealing with what we could call "superpowers." I've been here well over a year now, practicing in Heropa, Florida, long enough to start to see how things work, and where the flaws in the system are.

[Jeff’s sat at a neat looking desk, papers stacked significantly higher on the ‘in’ pile than the ‘out’ yet arranged without the franticness of someone concerned by it. Rather than actually work he’s opted for networking, camera on, sat up, arms on desk and offering his most winning lawyer smile. He’s even wearing a grey three-piece suit and blue tie, sans jacket, just in case the fact he was doing fancy work stuff wasn’t obvious enough.]

Jeff Winger here, Lawyer at Large, coming live to your communicators to announce the official start of my law firm. You’ll find my office at Herodotus Antiques in Maurtia Falls for all your criminal defense requirements. Need defending, law advice, or just a pretty face to stand by your not guilty plea? Then get in touch now. Private messages, phone calls, office visits and everything in between accepted, because your anonymity is important to me if it’s important to you. I’m hoping I don’t even need to point out that the TV crew won’t be involved… unless the fifteen minutes of fame appeals. Your call.

[He reaches for a nearby half-full bottle of scotch and begins pouring into a disappointingly empty glass, visibly relaxing as the advertising seemingly comes to an end. There’s a slouch quickly developing and once the glass is full he’s leaning back, feet swinging onto the desk and causing the camera to shake just slightly as his polished shoes thump onto the wood. A finger idly tugs at the knot of his tie as he starts speaking again, gradually working it loose.]

Can’t blame a guy for making use of free advertising space, huh? Alright network, interaction is the key to this kinda stuff, right? Less blogging, more gossiping? So here’s a question to get your collective minds around. And hey, maybe it might just remind you how much you really should have a lawyer on your side…

Regrets. Got any? Something you got in trouble for or maybe something you never got found out about. Maybe you wish it never happened, or maybe you just wish it went differently. If it happened back home this is the perfect time to come clean with no consequences. So c'mon, let me be you priest, rid yourself of your sins. No judging. I’m not paid to judge, I’m paid to make things right.

Trust me.

[ The video is of Raina. At work. On a Sunday evening. Lit by the glow of her computer screen, and even as the feed begins -- she's finishing off her typing. Workaholic, much?

But she does give her attention to the communicator then, offering a sweet, charming smile. ]

Hello, fellow imPorts. I just have a few questions for the community as a whole -- a curiosity, if you will.

[ Her fingers lace in front of herself on her desk. ]

How many of you are satisfied with the power set you received upon arrival? For some of us, powers are new and strange, things we have never encountered in our own world. But for others, we're used to having far more. Abilities that were lost in translation either because they were far too strong or far too destructive. Some abilities may seem relatively useless. Some may be uncontrollable. Some require more thought, practice, and skill than others. While some seem like almost something of a joke on the porter's behalf.

All of this to say, these abilities of ours don't really share a common pattern. But they have become part of our identity as a whole and something that has branded us all as imPorts. And like our identity, there may be things about them we dislike -- things we wish we could make different. So if you had the opportunity to change your powers or alter them in some way, would you? If you could enhance them and make them stronger, would you do that as well?

Please consider my questions something of a survey to measure who may or may not be interested in my next leg of research. Thank you for your time.

[ With a friendly wave, she cuts the feed. ]

[Camera is on and there's Red, hat and all, looking fairly peeved.]

Y'know, things were rough enough in Maurtia Falls afore people decided to stir the pot when the pot were already spillin' over. Fer awhile there I were dealin' with land sharks when I went patrolin', y'all. Land. Sharks.

Now, I know I sound madder than a hornet, 'cause I am, but it ain't about all'a that. All'a that I can deal with. Naw, what's got me so pushed over the edge is the fact I can no longer go outside with my bo--g-guy . . . friend--[Can she properly call Croach her boyfriend at this point? She sure isn't going to call him an onal partner, knowing how immature some folks on the network are.]--guy friend an' not havin' folks lookin' or jeerin' at 'im fer not bein' human; an imPort. An' if he's gettin' treated like that, then that means others gotta be, too. Probably innocent folks with less reserve than Croach, whose feelin's are gettin' hurt or they're a-scared to go out in the open without havin' to make themselves look human. Ain't no one that should have to hide what they are.

[She pauses to sigh, hand going to rub the bridge of her nose.] Reckon I should get to the point. [Lowers her hand to look into the camera as stoic and calm as possible.] I were part of a group here, thinkin' it'd be good to team up with others what could do things I ain't so good at doin'--I ain't truly an investigator or a spy, fer instance. But in the end, what good is bein' in a group if you didn't know who you could trust.

So I'm on my own again. I ain't 'bout to stop helpin' folks, even if the criminal element start throwin' out land whales next. Even if the government punishes the whole city fer the actions of a politician-type gettin' too big for his breeches. So, if any of ya are in need of some helpin', whether it be natives harrassin' ya or some jerk just stole yer TV, you can give me a call. Or if any of ya have need of someone to help ya track or take down a nefarious sort, in any city, give me a call, too--only if'n ya have good evidence, of course. I ain't foolish enough to jump into somethin' on someone's supposed good word.

[Beat.] An' before some other smart alec says it, yes, ya can call me if'n your roomba is actin' up. I am still workin' fer 'em. [Another beat. How do you end a post of this sort? Uh...] Uh. Bye.

Hard not to notice there's some politics going on, but I'm still new enough I don't have anything to say about it.

[In general, Rhys would stay away from anything that would involve surface level stirring the pot. He'll spin it counter-clockwise when it's safe to, behind the scenes, but upfront he'll act every bit the man who's happy to fall in line. There's an adventurous nature under all the hair gel. You wouldn't know it when he says something like that.]

What I want to talk about is more of a personal project. I'm trying to recreate--

[His robot son.]

--a bot I had back home. The structure can't be that hard to build, but the AI is going to take me a while to program and debug. I wanted to know if anyone out there has more experience with writing that kind of coding. Here's a sketch of the design.

[He'll post that.]

The original's-- huh. Eight feet tall? Around that. But I want to start with something small. Let's say a three foot model I can swap out the software of later. If anyone wants to be a sounding board, I'd really appreciate it. Used to have a few of those back home.
