I am looking to trade work for information. [Of course, if information is freely offered she would take it as well, but she would prefer to return some sort of favor to anyone who would take the time to answer her questions.]

I'm a skilled mechanic and I'll tackle any problem, small or large. [After all, it doesn't seem like there's anything as large as a Jaeger here. She has confidence in her skills.]

Thank you for considering my offer. [She bows to the camera this time before reaching out to turn off the feed.]

Um, hello. [ off to a good start already. still, the picture stabilizes and his hands move out of the picture to rest on his lap. ] I'm Mutsuki. I've been reading over the compiled FAQ but I had a few questions—

Back home I was learning how to properly use daggers to fight. Is there somewhere here where I could continue this sort of training? I have my own and several months of practice but it's always nice having someone who knows what they're doing there to help. [ though it's probably for the best that suzuya isn't here anymore if everything he heard was true. ] Any help would be appreciated.

[ after all, there wasn't any point in foregoing training while he was here. there was still one more important question though: ] Ah... and what sort of book genres do you enjoy or your favorite books and authors? I brought a book by Kafka with me from home that I've been slowing reading through. Still, I'm always open to hear about more especially while I'm stuck in a new country and an alternate world at that.

[On comes the video feed, and the man on the other end seems to consider the screen with distaste for a moment; the pause is long enough to wonder if he's simply going to change his mind and turn it off, but then he speaks. It's a low tone, something that almost sounds like it shouldn't belong to a human, but what is more noticeable is the fact that it is practically dripping with the repugnance of... something. His situation? His audience? All of the above? Red eyes flash with visible impatience as he addresses the network.]

I have been viewing this "network" for several days, watching mortal refugees from other worlds exchange words, images, ideas. Some have accepted and assimilated into their new situation, while others remain resistant and opposed to this place and what they expect of us.

[His lips threaten to curl into a mirthless grin.]

Zahdnu. It is pointless. Do you not see how petty it is? Caught in someone else's conflict, whether you fight or remain ambivalent, it all meets the same end; in time, it will be all be forgotten. All of you will be forgotten. Do you think you will be remembered in a hundred years time, do you think this war they want us to fight will be anything more than a footnote in the history of a thousand years? Five thousand? You should be lucky if your civilizations do not crumble to the ground well before then.

Everything here is noise with no meaning. That I should have to suffer through it is an insult. In defeat, I would have preferred a nothingness, and not forced to live with those whose bodies will decay into dust with time. No dovah, no dragon, deserves such humiliation.

[Well, how's that for a first "hello"? That being said, he simply moves on, as if everything he just declared is not up for debate.]

[The voice that comes over the feed is distinctly English, and despite her mood, Peggy is polite. She wasn't going to reveal her status as an agent or indeed the SSR because Peggy didn't know who was listening.]

My name is Margaret Carter and like some of you, I am a recent arrival. It hasn't been easy, trying to adjust to my new circumstances and- [there's a pause.] - abilities. After reading the file I was given and speaking to others, I'm no closer to getting to the truth of this place and whom or what is behind it; if anyone has any more information or even a theory, please share. The more I know the better prepared I am for what's to come.

[Bringing people from different universes, both good and bad, and bestowing incredible powers upon them is a recipe for disaster in her mind. Already, Peggy has heard worrying details about the Swear in ceremonies.]

But I do know one thing for certain. I have no desire to stay here and I am determined to try to get everyone who wants to go home back to where they belong.

[There's a fire in her tone, like something has awoken inside of her and came rushing to the surface.]

[It’s been a while since Pym’s been seen around the city. A combination of all-too-justified paranoia and a general lack of knowledge on the surrounding geography has contributed to that. The scant knowledge he has availed himself to isn’t all that comforting, considering his colleagues at the university seemed to know him before he even introduced himself, and the work left for him was already half-completed under his own name. An algorithm based on his own work on quantification of emotions has led him to discard the possibility of his previous stay being an impostor, and while that would be unsettling for most people, when you’ve gone through as many breakdowns and fugue states as Dr. Hank Pym, it becomes terrifying. The only question is, what did he do while he was here?]

I’ve already been filled in on the fact that somebody—err, that I was here for a while. I was wondering if somebody could fill me in on the details on what I did during that time.

Oh, also, I apologize if anyone has noticed an increase in ants around the dorms lately. I don’t really keep them in an enclosed space, so they seem to have scattered off while I was missing.

There's a happy buzz in the air about next week's Swearing-In -- especially after the tell-all that the previous month had wrought. Plenty of locals will be flocking in to (hopefully!) catch some imPort glimpses. Should be a grand old time!

IMPORTNET SENSATION
With a new influx of imPorts, De Chima has been kickstarting additional social media platforms to feature imPorted personalities. Along with UStube and the hyper patriotic BlueTube, there's now MeTube for your online perusal! MeTube is intended for a younger generation and will feature some fresh fanfare video about at least one imPort daily. Keep a keen eye open, because you might come across something about YOU one of these days. After all, there's no shortage of fandom attention.

URBAN OUTSIDERS
According to unnamed sources in the White House, President Freemason is considering a proposal to expand imPorts into a new city. She has her eye on a West Coast destination. Whispering lips claim that the President is concerned about a Soviet attack on Los Angeles, and an imPort presence there would help safeguard the populace.

A TITANIC CHANGE IN THE CLUB BUSINESS
With the exPort of Oswald Cobblepot, the Iceberg Lounge is changing hands. Rumor has it that the new owners are planning to monopolize the area.

SECURITY CHECK
Senator Haik has made a statement with regards to the imPort informational breach of the previous Swearing-In. In the Senator's statement, he claims that Soviet spies WERE INDEED responsible for the hacking and consequential leak of information about certain imPorts, and that the Department of Homeland Security could not deny nor confirm if anything said about these imPorts was true. The Congressional Intelligence Committee is holding three conferences with the CIA to determine the severity of this attack, and the appropriate response.

The Homeland Security Advisory System has moved from YELLOW to ORANGE in response to Senator Haik's statement.
