[There are actually worse things on the list of 'Resolutions' he'd been given. Two in particular that are more the source of his anger than then one's he going off about, but putting it out there would be showing too much vulnerability when he already didn't have a proper outlet for taking his anger out on whoever sent it. So it's just these few that he'll be publicly raging about and making it look like he has the shortest fuse ever.]

[Daryl snaps the words before sucking in a very audible deep breath. When he speaks again, it's with a subdued tone because he knows he screwed up in being short with her. She didn't deserve it.]

[She sets the tea she'd made down near him without a word and pulls him in close with her arms around him. Mako is calm because she must be in order to balance his anger with the brush of her cool, quiet, mind against his.]

[Her words are a soft sigh against his hair where her lips settle. Pussies. The insult passes through her thoughts like the way they've been interwoven together since they'd started Drifting.]

[He leans into her arms, feeling angry at himself and at whoever sent the list. But also, under the anger, worried that they were right. He was shit at being romantic or good with someone. She didn't deserve someone like him. She deserved better.]
