[ The first thing you see....is pumpkins. So many pumpkins. This house is full of pumpkins in various stages of being carved. Those who know Hazel can easily recognize this scene of mass chaos as Residence #11. However, the chalk scribbles on the wall are decidedly not hers. To start with, some of them are in a different language that looks kind of circly.

The personless scene lasts only for a moment before the Doctor scurries into frame, looking a mixture of confused and frowny. He's looking kind of magician, wearing a black coat over a black hoodie. Finally, he's holding an owl by the scruff of it's neck (can you do that with an owl? Who knows, the Doctor's doing so). Said owl is Owlfonso, the skateboarding owl that really doesn't want to be here right now and is desperately trying to peck the Doctor's fingers. ]

I want to clarify first that for once, none of this is my fault. [ except the chalk writing, which is obviously his, but that either a: goes without commenting on or b: the Doctor's forgotten it by now. also wow, that sure is a Scottish accent ] That being said- [ WHAM the camera gets a face full of owl ]

Is this normal? I mean, normal for owls. Is this how I can tell this dimension apart from my dimension? No eyepatches, no goatees, just owls that can suddenly skateboard? [ He backs poor Owlfonso away from the camera, as the Doctor's still got an expression that's pure 'what the hell is this shit' ] Well, skateboarding owls and a postponed perestroika. Spoilers, you're twenty years out of date.

[ pause, frown. The Doctor looks over at poor Owlfonso with a sort of resigned expression. ] The alternate dimension of owls and Communism. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

[holy fucking - she leaves for like five minutes to run some errands and there's some escaped nursing home resident manhandling her pets and vandalizing her walls. WHAT THE HELL, UNIVERSE]

[ Uh oh. Guess who recognizes that Owl? Glitch had been wondering who had been given the pet he gave to Dipper and Mabel ever since their uncle stole it.

And now he knows....sort of. Still, he's already on the feed quickly and he looks pissed to all hell.

[Oh good, Richelieu's come back from the dead and managed to become insane in the process. That's about as encouraging as a Musketeer can get when still trying to get used to a whole new world of madness]

I don't think anything about this situation is normal, at this point.

[Do ghosts have some sort of power over owls? This is where he needs Aramis and his theology, though he's still feeling like the owls are ... well, unique]

[ This response comes not from York himself but from his AI companion, who has been pondering just this sort of question since their arrival. York sets his comm device on the table and Delta projects his hologram in sight of its camera lens. ]

Once one learns that multiple universes are a consideration, a single variance from one's home universe is more than enough to cause one to doubt whether one is in one's home dimension. In this instance even if you had found the owl knew how to skateboard I'm unsure that you would have doubted that you were in your home dimension had you not also found Soviet Communism to be in place. But knowing there are multiple universes even finding your owl was missing a claw could be enough to cause doubt.

What I find more intriguing is the idea that you and your owl were both brought here, but from different dimensions. In the case of my host and I, a number of friends and acquaintances from our universe have arrived, all apparently from the same dimension as ourselves.

Release the owl.

[ Saws the woman, clearly still in the tank top she slept in, the back of her own livingroom couch as her background. Along with a live raccoon lounging across her shoulders (and now stealing food from her cereal bowl as she's momentarily distracted). ]

Things in this place can get very weird. But the owl is new.

Athos is torn between letting all of this insanity happen while having no part of it and knowing that if he doesn't intervene now something terrible might happen. He was preferable to Rochefort but that doesn't make him any less dangerous. ]
